Kingston

Thursday afternoon, after a good clean, refueling, restocking (merci Rémy pour toutes les commissions), including some Tylenol Cold for mommy (who has the mother of all colds!) we were ready to head out of Brockville and point west. We decided to use the American Narrows and we made it into Kingston (with a bit of night time navigation which Seb loves). Confederation Basin was waiting for us, plenty of docks to choose from and we had a good night.

Friday morning we went for a walk around Kingston, the required stop at the Bosun Chair-Vandervoorts was followed by a very interesting visit at the Steam museum. It is housed in the old Kingston Pump House where they initial water works for the city began; lots of cool steam engines, trains and boats. There is even the original maquette of the city and trainset at the beginning of a TV show I used to watch as a kid, The friendly giant. It was pretty neat to watch Thomas watch an episode of the show while standing next to the set....

I had a little nap after lunch to try and get over this %<>^%}?! cold while the boys went for a walk and looked for Pokemon (thanks guys!).

Seb tried to recalibrate Ray again, but nothing to it, stupid thing still overshoots like mad....

Tomorrow, we are heading to Main Duck Island....home of snapping turtles, snakes and all sorts of things.
